I see what you did there :-)

I tend to do the same thing - write out a conversation that happens in my head, then fill in the surrounding actions and detail later.

I'm with you on the action - it's so HARD to write - but in some fandoms and situations, it becomes unavaoidable!

Your action scene in the final fic of De Profundis is one I remember as being pretty damn great, for what it's worth. Very satisfying to the build-up as we follow Will through wanting to take that guy down. :)
